Thereโs something special about getting real mailโespecially for kids! Whether itโs a letter, a little surprise, or something that reminds them of a shared memory, sending something fun in the mail is an easy way to stay connected. For consistent back-and-forth connections with my grandkids, I use Over the River PLUS but I still love to send a little something “extra” a few times a year. This blog post covers 10 things to send your grandchildren, and they are all perfect for springtime!
If youโre looking for easy, meaningful ways to stay close no matter the distance, the Grandparent Starter Pack below is a great place to start.

Baseball Fans
Send a package with peanuts, red ropes, and a pocket schedule for their favorite team. Let them know youโll be cheering right along with them!
Outdoors
The weather is finally changing, and kids are ready to spend more time outdoors! Give them a reason to run around by sending a frisbee their way.
To add to the fun, google “frisbee games for kids” and print out some games for them to try.
If your grandkids are lovers of helping in the garden, thereโs nothing like a fresh pair of garden gloves to start a new season. We love these grippy rubber-coated gloves that come in different sizes!
Rainy Days
If the April showers are keeping everyone inside, a pack of โcraft stuffโ might just save the day. Pack a small box of โrandomโ supplies and pop it in the mail.
Think pipe cleaners, old greeting cards, bubble wrap, colorful paper, small wooden shapes, and a roll of tape or glue stick.ย An enjoyable idea would be to keep a โsetโ for yourself, set up a time to connect virtually, and have fun crafting together.
