The Gratitude Challenge

It’s time for our 2nd annual ’21 Day Grandparent Gratitude Challenge’, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Register for free right here!

Just like last year,  when you sign up for the challenge, we’ll send you your Gratitude Bundle straight to your inbox. It includes all the information, plus printable notecards, and a bonus game (from our November Issue of Timely Tips) to play with your grandkids. And of course, we will have some great prizes again!

This year, we’re encouraging everyone to participate at the level that works best for you.

Gratitude Challenge Participation Levels

Level One:

Read, and think about each prompt.

Level Two:

Read and write down a simple response to each prompt.

Level Three:

Read and write down ‘5 reasons’ for your response to each prompt. We have an example of this version coming in the Facebook group.

3 Reasons You Should Model Gratitude

In addition to all of the physical and mental benefits of having an attitude of gratitude that we receive ourselves, it’s an absolutely incredible trait to model for our grandkids!

Here are three excellent things that happen in kids who learn to live a life of gratitude. (Another excerpt from November’s Timely Tips)

1. Healthy Egos

Understanding that there are other people and situations that are contributing to their future is so much better than believing they are self-made people. They are better on teams, and better in the workplace.

2. Form Good Friendships

In this case, opposites do not attract!  Kids who display gratefulness and appreciation will attract others who do the same. Think of the old saying ‘You are the company you keep.”

3. Become Content

Practicing gratitude each day keeps kids from sliding into that ‘it’s never enough’ mindset, AND it causes them to be able to look outward and focus on the needs of others too.

Why Us?

Grandparents, we have years of memories and current life experiences we can demonstrate gratitude for, and we can share our stories in fun ways! When we are living a life of gratitude it will begin to naturally be part of our conversations and will be on display to our grandkids whenever we are connecting with them.  Now that’s a great legacy!
