8 Simple Spring Snacks to Share with Your Grandkids

simple spring snacks

There’s something special about sharing a snack. it’s not just about the food, it’s also about the laughter, the memories, and the simple joy of doing something together. Whether you are sitting side-by-side or chatting over FaceTime, preparing a simple Spring snack together can be a delightful way to connect with your grandkids. I know my granddaughters are always up for a quick and simple snack!

Here are some fun spring-inspired snack ideas that work for both in-person visits and virtual time together.

Butterfly Snack Bags

Fruit Flower Garden

Bunny Sandwiches (or any other spring shape)

Lemonade & Snack Picnic

Flower Power Rice Cakes

Spring Trail Mix Challenge

Rainbow Fruit Skewers

Microwave Mug Cake Party

One thing to keep in mind for any of the above snacks, is that this is an area where it is wise to talk with your grown kids first to make sure ingredients are available if you are going to have a virtual snack time.  It could also be a fun idea to send them a gift card to their local grocery store, or have some snack items delivered.

If you are going to be spending time in person, take them to the store with you so that they can help choose ingredients.  A wise leader once told me “People own what they help to create.”  I think this is especially true with kids in the kitchen!

Snacks don’t have to be complicated to be memorable. Whether you’re dipping strawberries in chocolate or building a fun shaped sandwich, these simple spring snacks are just another way to make time together feel special. And the best part? You don’t even have to be in the same kitchen to share a sweet moment.
